I need to find the instance ID of the newly created style, and then replace that ID with the one from the newly created form. (The problem I am having is that some users may create an instance of the form without having added a style to it yet).
A:
I am not a LabView programmer, but you can certainly keep a form open, then use the VB Script to retrieve the instance ID and the name of the style associated with it.
This method would require that you know the name of the new style, which you can read from the file of the style manager, but you can do that also after the GUI has finished the creation of the style.
This is how it looks like
While [name of the style]""
Instance ID=GetInstanceID();
Style Name=GetNameOfStyleFromManager();
End While
